The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has promised that his administration will provide better healthcare and improved security for residents if re-elected in the 2023 election.

The governor made the promise on Thursday during the All Progressives Congress governorship and Lagos West II Senatorial campaign rally held along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, in Ojo.

Sanwo-Olu, who was accompanied by his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, leaders of the party, and APC candidates vying for elective seats in the senatorial district, also assured residents of his intervention in the education sector.

He said, “In our larger government, we will not abandon youths. We will make sure that all that will make you responsible citizens are the things that we are going to hand over to you. We will make sure that your neighbourhoods are better off than what they are now and ensure that there is safety and security for every one of you.

“Public transportation will be enhanced; your healthcare services will be better than what it is today. When your children go to their various public schools, they will feel the impact of all of my interventions in public schools and improve the sustenance of life for all citizens. This is our commitment to you all to do better when we come in again.”

Also speaking at the rally, the APC state Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, said, “In the past, it used to be said ‘the Awori are not educated,’ but today, we have two universities in the Badagry Division, so it is time to pay back and re-elect Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; let us use our votes as our investment for our future.”

On her part, the APC women leader, Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, noted that women own the votes and urged them to collect their Permanent Voter Cards and vote for the party’s candidates.
