The Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, has disclosed plans to turn the area to the industrial hub of Ogun State.
The traditional ruler said the development in the over 40 Remo communities would provide conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
Ajayi, who is also the Chairman, Council of Ogun State Traditional Rulers, disclosed this while speaking with journalists after a press briefing in commemoration of his 60th birthday and 5th year coronation anniversary.
He said, “Remo in the next 10 years, we see it as the industrial capital of Ogun State, and Nigeria. We also see it as a place where everybody will want to live in peace, harmony and love.”
The chairman of the planning committee for the birthday and coronation anniversary, Seni Adetu, said the celebration would showcase the potential of Remoland being a celebrated town.
Adetu noted that there would be a seven-day dual event.
“We also want to use this opportunity to reveal some projects that give insight into the endless/limitless possibilities that abound in Remoland.
“Apart from the completed projects, we have some that are work in progress, as well as those categorised as short, medium, and long term projects targeted at meeting current and future needs of Remonians”, he added.
