One of the progressive youth leaders in Ose local government area of Ondo state, Wale Akingbade has thrown more weight to the re-election bid of a seating rep member, representing Owo/Ose Federal constituency at the national assembly, Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe, that he will be victorious in the forthcoming 2023 general election with a wide margin defeating his political opponents.
He made this known while featuring on a radio political programme in Akure on Sunday 13th of November, 2022. Akingbade noted that the numerous achievements of the legislator in the past 3 and some months in office are legendary and convincing enough to garner huge votes from the electorates.
The media aide to the lawmaker further described Adelegbe among other contestants as the most saleable figure in the race, as an accomplished person in the society, thorough-bred manager and maverick politician.
“Without any equivocation, I’m very uptimistic that Hon. Adelegbe will emerge victorious in the forthcoming 2023 general election, defeating his closest opponents not even with a small margin in their strongholds.
“The reason for this is not far fetch, because the man has proven to us as constituents that quality representation is about giving back to the people, a better life, a sense of belonging and initiating impactful programmes for the down trodden.
“As we can see, all his projects are scattered all over the 23 wards in the two local governments he represents at the national assembly. They are good enough as sellable campaign points that has gotten many party members in PDP in Ehinogbe, Ijebu, Isaipen and other wards to pitch their tent with Hon. Timehin Adelegbe in support for his second term ambition.
According to the media expert, he apted on the primary that brought Adelegbe to be the candidate of the party as an herculean task because the party needs to choice someone who is well known and prominent in Owo/Ose political space, someone who started demonstrating a commitment to his community at a very young age.
“Nobody can shy away from his glowing antecedents; a former banker that rose to a regional manager, a former commissioner in Ondo state, you can see that the trajectory has been very clear. The man has been on the upswing, and has been very focused on making Owo and Ose a better place to be”. Wale noted.
