Poised to break new grounds in the Nigerian music industry, newly established record label, Tomrice Entertainment Worldwide (TREW), has made its debut with two artistes, Franklin Chukwunonso with stage name Billi, and Isaac Osemudiamen with moniker Isick.

Speaking at the official unveiling of the label and the artistes in Lagos, the Chief Executive Officer, TREW Nduka Obasi, said the label is out to breed good talents but more importantly good music.

“We believe in creating collaborative and innovative techniques using unique strategies to project our artistes to the world. For us we see a bright future, one in which an enabling environment is created for artistes to thrive and reach for their maximum potential in an atmosphere free of stress.”

He further stated that the record label was set up out of deep passion for artistes by stakeholders, who saw the need to bridge the gap, repair faulty foundations in the industry and erect a creative community and environment where artistes can focus on their craft freely without distraction.

“Based on this preposition, our record label is out to efficiently and diligently reinstate the music industry in Nigeria as a global force. We are totally committed to our vision and for this purpose we have staff, facilitators, administrators and industry heavy weights working round the clock to see these talents achieve their dreams,” Obasi added.

The General Manager of the outfit, Olumide Mark, explained that the label has a blueprint that has taken time, and the label is coming in with something unique aside the regular vibe.

“After studying the music market, you realise that brand changes over time so we are coming in to create a brand that reaches out to everyone starting from the grass root, the middle class and first class but more importantly our project content is unique.

“TREW is here to make people realise we are not just a record label, but a movement that is taking the industry to a greater height of success not just locally but globally,” he said.

According to Mark, the newly signed artistes songs would be unique for listeners to identify with the TREW brand. “Our two artiste have unique personalities and attributes that makes them sole entity on their own,” he said.

One of the artistes, Osemudiamen, said his Afro-pop style of music is pure and true “because good music should be pure. When you understand your art, it will craft itself,” he said.
